December, the 12th, 2013.- Barcelona is more and more becoming the capital of the mobile sector. Events like the Mobile Congress and the Bdigital Apps proves this. This year, more than 800 participants attended the 4th edition of the Bdigital Apps between the 1st and the 2nd of December of 2013.
During two days, experts on apps, industrial software development companies, researchers and policymakers got together in the Caixa Forum of Barcelona to discuss about the trends of the mobile sector and the current evolution of the mobile apps.
Just a month after project completion, di.me project organized its final dissemination event in the framework of this conference. The round table called ”trending apps shots” moderated by Santiago Begué, business developer of Bdigital, included a presentation of David Alonso, coordinator of dissemination of the di.me project. Mr. Alonso narrated the prominence of the di.me userware and the di.me app prototype in a presentation called di.me: managing your digital identity right at your fingertips.
Novel tools and innovative success stories accompanied di.me at the round table. Sergio Alcalde, R&D Manager of Solusoft (www.solusoft.es), nods di.me when he showed the ecosystem’s state of the art of the context-dependent apps and the great business opportunities of this sector. Louis-Alban Batard, Business Developer Manager of Connecthings (www.connecthings.com), an app which meets the challenge of giving cities the mobile tool for enriching people’s mobility and city experience by offering real-time information and contextual services. Ali Rehan, CEO of Eyedeus (www.eyedeus.com), presented Groopic, a tool for solving the impossible problem of ”selfies” by seamlessly including the photographer friend in every group photo. Finally, Lluís Anaya, ICT Director of Parlament de Catalunya’s Elections of the CTTI Generalitat de Catalunya (www.ctti.gencat.cat/ctti), explained how an app helped citizens in the last Catalonian elections in 2012.
The audience was excited about the trends presented by the speakers and inquires them about business models, profitability and marketability, and legal aspects. The Bdigital event was undoubtedly a perfect framework to present the final developments of di.me.
